The SweepPicks browser extension

This section describes how the browser extension handles data. It is written from the extension's technical design and should be reviewed by a lawyer before the extension is published.

What the extension can access

The extension requests access to a fixed, named list of sweepstakes casino domains, and nothing else. It cannot read pages outside that list. It does not request permission to read your browsing history, your open tabs, your bookmarks, or your downloads. The full list of domains is visible in the extension's manifest and on its store listing.

What it stores on your device

The extension keeps the following in your browser's local storage, where no website can read it:

  • A cached copy of our public offer catalog, so the offer card appears without waiting for the network
  • Which offer cards you dismissed and which casinos you muted
  • Which daily bonuses you marked as claimed today
  • A session token, only if you choose to sign in

The tools page stores more, and it stays on your device without exception:

  • Redemptions you log, their amounts, and when each was requested and paid
  • Coin purchases you log, and the spending and time caps you set yourself
  • How long a casino tab has been open and in front of you, counted per day and kept for thirty days

None of that is ever sent to us, not even when you are signed in. A record of what somebody spent at a casino is the most sensitive thing this product touches, so the only place it exists is the browser you typed it into. Clearing the extension's storage or removing the extension erases all of it.

The optional account

Signing in is optional. Every offer and the whole daily list work without an account. If you do sign in, we receive and store:

  • Your email address, which is how the sign in link reaches you. There is no password
  • A record of which casino you marked claimed and on what date, so your claim history and streak stay consistent between this browser, this website and our Discord

If you link a Discord account, we also store your Discord user id, username and avatar, so the bot can recognise you and assign roles. Discord is a link on an existing SweepPicks account, never a way to sign in, and you can unlink it at any time from your account page.

What it never collects

The extension does not collect your browsing history, the content of any page, your location, payment details, keystrokes, or your Google account. It does not read the pages you visit. Marking a bonus as claimed is an action you take deliberately, and it is the only thing about your activity we ever record.

What it does not do

The extension does not redirect you, rewrite links on the page, or replace affiliate tracking that is already present. It opens a link only when you press a button.

Deleting your data

Signing out removes the session token from your browser. Clearing the extension's storage, or removing the extension, removes everything it kept locally. To delete your account and the claim history attached to it, email hello@sweeppicks.com and we will remove it.

Affiliate links

When you click through to a casino from the extension or from this site, the casino may record that the visit came from SweepPicks, and may pay us a commission if you register. That tracking is performed by the casino and its affiliate network, not by us, and is governed by their privacy policies. It never changes the offer you receive.

SweepPicks Blocker & Tools

SweepPicks Blocker & Tools is a separate extension for people who want to keep sweepstakes casinos under their own control. It stops casino sites from opening in your browser and keeps your own records of spending and redemptions. It has no account and sends nothing about you anywhere.

What it stores on your device

  • The sites on your block list, including any you add yourself
  • Your self-exclusion timer, its end date, and whether you asked to switch protection off
  • How many times a site was blocked, counted per day and kept for thirty days
  • Purchases and redemptions you log, and the monthly spending cap you set
  • A cached copy of our public list of casinos, used for its reference tables

All of it stays in your browser. None of it is sent to us. Removing the extension erases it.

What it fetches

It periodically downloads our public list of sweepstakes casinos, so a casino that launches after you installed it is blocked too, and so its reference tables stay current. That request carries nothing about you. The list can only ever add sites to your block list. Nothing we change can remove a site you are blocking or end a timer you set.

What it does not do

It does not read the content of any page, record where you browse, or link you to any casino, offer, or to this website.
